Emily + Bryan | Stone Creek golf club wedding
While Emily was getting her makeup done on Saturday, she asked how I felt things were going since I'd been with the ladies for a little over an hour already. Then she made such a great analogy for a wedding photographer to a wedding -- she said I am like a canary in a coal mine, meaning I can give advance warning of any coming of adversity or trouble by how I'm feeling about the day. Suffice it to say, I was feeling really good at that point and did for the rest of the day, too! No canaries kicking the bucket at Stone Creek that day!
I KNEW at my first meeting with these two that we were going to get along splendidly, and I hoped with my whole heart that they would book me, and they did very shortly after. We talked as if we were old friends, and Emily and I gabbed about our mutual love of color and natural, bright photos. They are genuine with each other, and you can tell that admire and bring out the best in one another. That is my kind of couple!
Since that first meeting, I did an amazing engagement session in downtown Urbana with these two, plus a headshot session for each of them during the winter. I anxiously awaited their wedding date, because I was sure it was going to be an incredible day full of love, kindness, and gentleness. If you happened to see my sneak peek on Facebook, you probably saw how I said I would photograph their wedding 10x over -- and that's even with the 90+ degree heat and stifling humidity!
I am so thrilled for these two, and wish them a lifetime of happiness together!! Oh, and if you didn't catch their same-day edit from ParkLife Films, you will definitely want to take a few minutes to watch it -- and have some tissues ready!!
