Faith | Senior barrel racing session on the farm

You may not know this about me, but I grew up on a livestock & grain farm in central Illinois (about an hour and a half west of Champaign). I showed cattle in 4-H from the time I was 8 through age 21 when I aged out of the junior shows. We traveled all over the country attending and exhibiting at shows and and they are some of my best childhood memories. They also helped instill in me a strong work ethic, confidence, competitiveness, and a huge network of people in the agriculture industry. I showed my calves in Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and we had a National Champion and Division Champion in Denver too (though we didn’t actually exhibit those ourselves).

Anyway, enough about me, but that all leads me to my point — I LOVE getting back on the farm!! Faith is a barrel racer and LOVES her horses. I totally know the feeling. <3 She’s also quite fond of her puppy who made a quick appearance as well.

I’m familiar with Faith’s family farm as a few years ago we did her older sister Grace’s senior pictures there, and this weekend I’ll also do her brother’s senior photos. Faith & her siblings are all homeschooled so they spend lots of time on the farm and have lots of daily chores taking care of the livestock (I totally know that feeling too! ha!).

The light on this particular evening was SO good, and I was so happy when we got a colorful sunset! Faith is gorgeous inside and out, and it was such a pleasure to work with her family again (and again!).
