Madeliene + Michael | Urbana Country Club wedding

We all know that rain on a wedding day is not ideal, but if the timing works out as precisely as it did for Madie + Mike’s wedding, I can deal with it! Seriously, there was a threat of rain all week leading up to the wedding, and then it looked beautiful and clear most of the day. When it came time for portraits on the UCC golf course, everything still looked great, but there were slight thunder rumblings and we started to get sprinkled on. We made a mad dash back to the clubhouse, where we did a few more group photos under the dropoff zone overhang. After a quick check of the radar, we decided we could stay close to the building and knock out the rest of the couple portraits. Ten minutes and DONE! Then it POURED! Luckily it was cocktail hour then so everyone was able to stay (mostly) dry inside, and the rest of the night went off without a hitch.

I am LOVING all of the images we created together from Madie + Mike’s day! Start to finish, everything was drop-dead gorgeous with two of the best families I have ever worked with! And, special shout out to matron of honor and bridesman Kat + Wil who were one of my couples a few years ago!

It is clear that Madie + Mike are a perfect match, and I enjoyed hearing the toasts describing them as such and watching the love from friends & family surround them all day. Congrats to the newlyweds!!
