Personal brand session with photographer Abbey

At the Reset Conference in March, I signed up for a brand styled shoot on the add-on day. The shoot was led by Alisa of Alisa Nicholle Co., a good friend of mine from Champaign who specializes in brand photography and weddings/elopements. She lined up two models for us — a fitness/yoga instructor, and a local photographer.

Our photographer was Kentucky-based wedding & senior photographer Abigail E. Photography. Abbey is confident in her branding, and LOVES new clothes. She bought this outfit just for this session, with her hat borrowed from Alisa. ;)

When I’m in a styled shoot setting and don’t have complete control over the session, I like to focus on details aside from just portraits to help tell the business owner’s story. In this case, I focused more on Abbey’s camera, her laptop, and her clothing — things that all help show her personality, and tell you a bit more about who she is as a person and a business owner. She has a million-watt smile and was so easy to photograph! I actually love how many of the photos she’s not looking at me, but I still was able to capture some fantastic expressions!

I can think of a dozen ways I would personally use these brand photos if they were mine, and I hope Abbey feels the same!

The styled brand shoot was organized and led by fellow Champaign photographer Alisa Nicholle in conjunction with The Reset Conference.
