Senior cap & gown session with friends | University of Illinois

U of I graduation is this weekend and I am going to be busy, busy, busy with FIVE graduation sessions between Friday & Saturday. Wowsers! I’ve said this before, but I absolutely LOVE the trend of the white dresses under the crisp, bright caps & gowns at Illinois. When I graduated we had boring all-black caps & gowns, and these are so much in line with our school spirit I think!

Megan hired me to do a grad session, but mentioned that it would be her and a few friends. They didn’t even want or need any individuals, just lots of fun group shots to commemorate these sorority sisters’ upcoming commencement. I love how easy going they were together and they took all my posing instructions like champs! The “look at each other and laugh” pose — easy peasy for these college-turned-lifelong friends!

The weather was super crummy that day, but we made the most with what we had between the Alice Campbell Alumni Center and the Hallene Gateway (the fountain was unfortunately not on). I love the celebratory champagne spray, but next time will maybe try just 1 or 2 bottles for a big group because all I could see what foam and spray in the photos — haha! ;)

Congrats ladies, and best wishes with your next steps in life!! 💙🧡💙🧡
